What is hypnosis?
Hypnosis is the state of mind achieved when the conscious,
analytical mind is bypassed (relaxation) and the subconscious
mind is in a heightened state of awareness.
How does hypnosis work?
When you're in this relaxed state, your mind can accept suggestions.
These suggestions go directly into your mind and take hold
so that your thoughts, beliefs, and attitudes are permanently
changed. All action comes from someone's thoughts. When you
think differently, you will behave differently... and get
the results you want.
Will I remember everything during the session?
Yes. There maybe some details you won't remember in the same
way you don't remember all of the details of a movie you
watched.
Can a person be too intelligent or too strong willed
for hypnotherapy?
No. Studies have shown that intelligent people are easier
to hypnotize. You use your intelligence to assist in the
process.
Are there any side effects with hypnotherapy?
Yes. Positive Ones! You will be more relaxed and will probably
sleep better. There are no harmful residual effects.
Can hypnosis be dangerous?
No. Hypnosis is a state halfway between sleep and awake.
It's only effect is to get you very relaxed and open up communications
to your sub-conscious mind.
Will hypnotherapy work with children?
Absolutely! Children are perfect candidates for hypnotherapy.
Young children's reasoning abilities are not fully developed
and they are more in touch with their subconscious mind.
They are easily hypnotized as early as seven years of age.
Teens and young adults are also easily hypnotized, providing
they desire to participate and make changes.
What is the success rate with hypnosis?
Hypnosis is successful in more than eighty percent of all
cases. However, it does depend on the effort the client applies.
How many sessions do i need?
One session may affect a change, but a short course of weekly
or bi-weekly sessions maybe recommended. It will vary by
individual and type of problem being treated.
You will recieve a CD of your session for you to listen to
at home. You will be given a new CD with each session if
additional sessions are needed.
How much does it cost?
Please call our office and we will be happy to discuss our
fees.
Payment is due following each session. Cash or Check is accepted.
What about confidentiality?
Complete confidentiality shall be maintained for all disclosures
made by a client during hypnosis, unless specific written
permission to release such information is given by the client.
